← Bench notes 28 July 2026 From the bench First real pixels off the panel. It's an LED matrix run by a little ESP32, and watching an actual picture light up on it does not get old. Newer First light. I'd soldered hobby kits before, but never anything that was my own idea, with no instructions telling me which leg goes in which hole. These did exactly what I told them to. Older Same automata, now on a motor instead of the hand crank. It goes at a super fast speed. The crank is more dignified. This is more fun. ← all bench notes
