Uncle Matt is the guy in the back of the shop who'd rather show you than tell you. I build things (games, gadgets, little simulated worlds) and I leave the mistakes in the photos, because the mistakes are the part nobody shows you, and they're the part that actually teaches you anything.
I'm not an expert. I'm stubborn. There's a difference, and the difference is mostly that I keep going after the thing breaks. If you're a beginner staring at a pile of parts wondering if you're allowed to just try, then yeah. You are. That's the whole idea here.
Off the clock I'm Matt Scott. I make games for a living, so I don't get to be precious about deadlines or failures the rest of the week. "Uncle Matt" is just the version of me that's covered in solder smoke and isn't worried about looking smart.
